Mount Solitary features heavily in my images of the Jameson Valley. Perhaps it is because when I first moved to Australia my wife dragged me on an overnight hike - up and over that lump of rock - in the middle of summer (Ihad just arrived from an English winter!). At the time I moaned about heat, hunger and thirst, but the memories have softened and are a wonderful part of my introduction to this wide brown land.
Katoomba Falls from the Furber
Katoomba Falls as seen from about half way down the Furber Steps. Tourists love to sit at the edge of the falls - they're idiots as the sandstone is slippery and gives way quite ofet. Several tourists die each year falling of here. Processed with VSCOcam with kk2 preset
