During our stay at Port Douglas, we treated ourselves to a flight out to Lizard Island. The flight took in amazing views of the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest. This image of Lizard was taken as we left, the sun gilding the water perfectly andpuffy clouds hanging low in the sky.
My mother-in-law is Dutch and loves having tulips in her garden. I nearly flattened this one in my attempts to block the wind while taking the picture - thankfully I managed to catch the box before it landed! I used my macro lens to get in nice and close, putting the focus on just the edges of the petals.
